Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric / Behavioral Health

Job Summary:
The Psychiatric Registered Nurse provides compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral conditions. The RN is responsible for assessment, treatment planning, medication administration, crisis intervention, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team to promote patient safety, stabilization, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and physical assessments

• Monitor and document patient behavior, mood, and response to treatment

• Administer medications and evaluate therapeutic effects

• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed

• Develop and implement individualized care plans

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and healthcare staff

• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and coping strategies

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and confidentiality regulations
